I'm so excited to share an update on our Runaway & Homeless Youth Shelter - made possible by you!

We've completed work on the roof and foundation, and are continuing progress to ensure the Youth Shelter is in top shape to continue serving youth in crisis.

🗓 Mark Your Calendar for March 27th: Jersey Mike's Day of Giving

CAPTAIN CHS is joining forces with our local Jersey Mike’s Subs in the Capital District, Mohawk Valley, and North Country for the 14th Annual March “Month of Giving” campaign!

Throughout March, Jersey Mike's customers can round up their order and make donations at the register or through the Jersey Mike’s mobile app.

The campaign will culminate with Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 27, when local Jersey Mike’s restaurants will give 100% of the day’s sales – not just profit – to CAPTAIN CHS!

🥂 The Event of the Summer: An Unbridled Affair Gala

Join us on Thursday, July 18th from 6:00pm-10:00pm at Prime at Saratoga National Golf Club for this year's An Unbridled Affair Gala!

As one of the premiere events of the Saratoga summer, I hope that you will join Honorary Chairs Tom and Karen Bellhouse, and Co-Chairs Denise Desmond and Belinda Kucharski as we will dine and delight while mingling with friends and special guests from the world of Thoroughbred Racing,

We’ll honor Jeff and Kara Haraden of Mohawk Honda, a couple dedicated to the betterment of our community through support of our programs and services, particularly our Runaway and Homeless Youth Shelter. We’ll also honor award-winning 2023 Horse of the Year, American Thoroughbred Cody's Wish.

As a special treat for 2024, enjoy an incredible conversation, Honoring Our Heritage; Transforming for the Future with CAPTAIN CHS Founder Dr. Bill Long and Bill Casey, another longtime volunteer, supporter, and former Interim Executive Director and Board President.

Discover the inspiring narratives that your generosity has facilitated, featuring remarkable change-makers: Chad and Brittany Gregory, proud proprietors of Next Generation Roofing, Siding, and Paving; and Danielle Darrow, currently serving as a staff attorney at a local legal aid office dedicated to supporting low-income families.  Their empowering stories showcase the tangible impact of your support, illustrating how it has fueled transformations in lives and communities alike. 

We hope to make this year’s Gala the most spectacular and successful ever with Saratoga National’s award-winning golf course offering unsurpassed views and world class cuisine in an open-air tent. Of course, we’ll also have new and exciting items for our auction and raffle, entertainment by J Yager and Chris Dollard, a captivating program emceed by Spectrum News 1 anchor, Dan Bazile, and many more surprises!

🏠 Community Hero Alert: Saratoga Wilton Elks Lodge #161

Big thanks to the Saratoga Wilton Elks Lodge #161  for their incredible generosity and support of the young adults in our Supportive Housing for Homeless Youth program! The recent donation of essential items for our apartment is truly remarkable: giving a terrific start for a young adult; empowering them to create a safe and happy first home.
Together, we're making a positive impact in our community!

We're overflowing with gratitude for the incredible generosity of the Christmas Pajama Foundation! Their donation of 103 pairs of Christmas pajamas to Cheryl's Lodge has brought so much joy and warmth to our residents this holiday season. Your thoughtfulness has made our Christmas season extra cozy and magical. Thank you for spreading holiday cheer and ensuring that every resident at Cheryl's Lodge feels the spirit of the season. A Great Big Thank You to Capitaland GMC Subaru! Last week at Cheryl's Lodge, Capitaland Subaru hosted a Coat Giveaway event as part of Operation Warm that 'warmed' hearts all around. The brand-new, high-quality coats brought smiles to kids' faces, and the gratitude from parents was palpable. 🗓 Save-the-Date: CAPteens Present REAL TALK

Join the CAPteens on Thursday, April 25th, beginning at 5:00pm at the Clifton Park Halfmoon Public Library (475 Moe Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065) for a conversation about underage vaping and drug use.

This program is held in partnership with CAPTAIN CHS and Shenendehowa CSD. Stay tuned for more information!

👰 Don't Miss Out on A Care Links Wedding

Join us in honoring and celebrating the relationship between the Care Links Volunteers and Care Receivers at the most exciting Senior Services social event of the year - filled with laughter, fun, and a great deal of love!

This year's annual dinner show, themed A Care Links Wedding, includes a special presentation: "Care Links Volunteer of the Year" and "Golden Inspiration" Awards.

Dine and dance to the music of Maddalone Entertainment with Nick, Zack and Terra while mingling with your friends and our special guests, the Care Receivers and Volunteers of Care Links.

Tickets: $55 per person

Reservations are required as seating is limited.

🏃 Run the 15th Annual Route 50 Mile!

Join us for the 15th Annual Route 50 Mile on Thursday, June 13, 2024! This family-friendly event is the area's premier one-mile race and is followed by the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Business and Professional Association Flag Day Parade.

This year, we're excited to announce the race will be part of the 2024 USATF Adirondack Grand Prix!
