Friends and supporters,
Because of you, the Runaway & Homeless Youth Shelter is getting a new roof and HVAC system, necessary fixes to the foundation, and a 12-passenger van to transport youth to and from school and important appointments.
Thank you, thank you for showing up for teens in crisis! We're so excited to share the updates with you on the Shelter, newly dedicated in honor of one of our Founders, Mr. Bill Casey!
As we move into the holiday season, there are many ways to continue supporting kids, families, and seniors in our community. We're still in urgent need of volunteers for after school Homework Help at Cheryl's Lodge and for our growing waiting list at Senior Services. Learn more by clicking below.
We're also looking for individuals, families, and businesses to contribute toward our holiday giving programs, which ensure every child and family has a cheerful holiday experience.
Finally, we're excited to be celebrating our incredible volunteers later this month with our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner! If you're one of our esteemed team and you haven't received your invitation, please reach out to Ava today.

It's that time of year again! We're kicking off our Holiday Donation drive!

All donations should be dropped off at our Clifton Park Office (5 Municipal Plaza, Suite 3, Clifton Park, NY 12065) during regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm).
Thank you so, so, so much to this group of incredible people from Ayco at Goldman Sachs for coming to complete the Fall Cleanup at our Runaway & Homeless Youth Shelter. Not only did the team prepare the Shelter for the coming winter, but they created a beautiful environment to celebrate the Youth Shelter's 25th Anniversary!

Bring a non-perishable food donation to your local Hoffman's and receive a FREE Ultimate Car Wash! The Clifton Park Hoffman Car Wash donations will go to our Emergency Food & Hygiene Pantry!

🦸♂️ Community Hero Alert: JCPenney - Clifton Park
Thank you to JCPenney-Clifton Park Centerwho provided a back-to-school shopping trip for several youth from Cheryl's Lodge. Store employees, including the General Manager, were super helpful and incredibly generous in supporting these fantastic kids!
🦃 BHBL CSD Annual Food Drive
Help feed our local families in need!
The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District, in partnership with CAPTAIN CHS and local church groups, is working hard to feed our community families for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

October 23-November 5 monetary donations can be made onlineby clicking here
Through November 15 cash, checks, and grocery store gift cards can be dropped off at any of the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake school’s main offices (Please note: Attention Cheryl Bach - District Food Drive Coordinator.) Checks made payable to BH-BL Interact Club
Non-perishable food will be collected at each school on the following dates:
What a fun event! Getting Ahead graduates planned a wonderful event at Cheryl's Lodge for the current class to welcome them into the Staying Ahead community. Gramma Tippy Toes performed for the kids, and everyone had a wonderful time at the potluck!

WOW! Thank you SO MUCH to Paul Lambert and Bonacio Construction, Relyea & Sons and Daughters LLC, and CAPTAIN CHS Board Immediate Past President Mike Holley for making this long journey possible - we now finally have a swing set at Cheryl's Lodge!!! The team worked through the sun and rain to get this setup for the kids and we could not be more grateful!
