Assist customers, sort donations, etc. This is a weekly or monthly commitment.

In partnership with the Shenendehowa Central School District, our CAPteen Program is a youth-driven, youth development program aimed at involving local teens in community service, philanthropy, and helping those in need.

High school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible to become CAPteens. They act as ambassadors for CAPTAIN CHS and commit to 30 hours of volunteer service. CAPteens serves as an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate a commitment to community service while building a resume for life.

Provide supportive services such as transportation, friendly visiting, shopping, and respite to seniors in Southern Saratoga County. This is a weekly or monthly commitment.

Assist with Homework Help and after school services, or provide support for the Outreach Center. This is a WEEKLY commitment.

Mentor individuals and families to increase self-sufficiency. This volunteer position is a WEEKLY long-term commitment that requires training and regular meetings.

Assist guests with obtaining a 3-day supply of emergency food and/or drive our van for food pickups or to take people to the Jonesville Pantry. This is a weekly or monthly commitment.

Incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in the Shenendehowa Central School District are eligible to become JR CAPteens. They learn what it means to act as ambassadors for CAPTAIN CHS and commit to 10 hours of volunteer service. JR CAPteens serves as an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate a commitment to community service while building a resume for life.
